Photographer Takahiro Takano, born in 1963, began his career when a friend commissioned him to take stage photographs. In 2005, he won the Kimura Ihei Award for “IN MY ROOM” (2005), a collection of photographs on the theme of sexuality, and in his project “Everyday Photography” in which he set himself the task of taking photographs without fail every day In his project “Mainichi Shashin” (Everyday Photography), in which he sets himself the task of taking a photograph every day without fail, he is constantly experimenting with new approaches, such as trying to capture what is not considered beautiful from an institutionalized perspective. This is an experimental collection of his photographs, in which he has been creating works on the theme of shadows since around 2011.
