After working as an assistant to Andy Warhol, he went on to study under the photographer Irving Penn. He is currently based in New York, where he works as a photographer and adventurer. Well known for a practice deeply rooted in American hip-hop culture, his work exists as a form of diary or record—an exhibition of lived experience. Photography functions for him as a means of capturing and processing his life, his family, and the cultural environments in which he exists. For this reason, among the many photobooks he has produced, formats such as zines and posters occupy a particularly important place in his oeuvre. This book, which reflects his friends, people he encounters while walking, and the landscapes that unfold between them, beautifully embodies the informality, diaristic nature, and sense of omnipresence that characterize his work.
